The amount of column inches spent on Brexit means most Brits know the opinion of every political commentator going when it comes to the decision to leave the EU.

But as a company that often helps European businesses establish their technology brand within Britain, it’s interesting to see things on the other side of the coin.

Most major European countries have seen their own debates about EU membership amplify. Many are unsure if the European Union’s reluctance to cut exclusive deals for key members makes the bloc stronger or if it actually discourages innovation and progress.

Rather than take note of the pros and cons debated in the media – mainly based on speculation of course – many take a more pragmatic view and understand that there will be a period of uncertainty while Britain defines its position.

The positive for those in the Union is that reform looks to be back on the agenda to address the issues that led to Britain leaving. Hopefully this will make the EU much more effective and fair, as well as open to a new relationship with Britain.
